Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer - and often the supreme disappointment.
-Ansel Adams
Indeed it is. Traveling for hours, braving the waves, wading into the water (while getting your shorts wet), waiting and hoping for good weather, and staying after sunset were the things we did just to get that “perfect” shot. Well, the shots that came out were still far from perfect but at least they were attempts toward perfection.
These pictures were taken at Anawangin Cove and Camara Island near San Antonio, Zambales from our last day of the two day workshop conducted by the master landscape photographer, Richard Larrios.

It looks like you received good value for your workshop with the first shot. Have you made a big print from it yet?
Hi Steven, thank you for your kind comments. Yes, the workshop I attended was excellent. Once in awhile, it’s nice to receive some guidance and constructive criticisms from someone with real expertise on photography. At least I get a kind of affirmation if I’m heading on the right path.
Sadly, I haven’t printed my pictures yet. The last time I printed my pictures, the colors were way off. I’m thinking of buying a calibrator for my monitor first so that the colors of the prints would closely match the colors I see on my screen.
Thanks for taking some time to read my blog. I checked yours, and wow you have excellent pictures. I wish I could produce something like that in the future. If time permits, hopefully I could do some more serious shooting. Sometimes, I think my day job really gets in the way.
